An Introduction by our Principal, the Animate Sun

Welcome dear Visitor.

You might see me as a painted image, as the sun in the sky, as a symbol of your own beating heart and all it longs for… and I am all these; but know me also as a lover of wisdom, one with my own Beloved, whose brightest Star-Light shines-through my eyes, into the animate and animating world of the Alchemists, making the Mysteries.

This glorious course is free for you to enjoy. It’s displayed as an online resource (below) and is published as a Guide Book. Developed from Marie Angelo’s slide presentations over the years, my 22 beautiful and mysterious illuminations reveal their exquisite details; through close-ups, insights into our alchemical symbolism, and ‘Secrets of Seeing’ to guide the eye.

For over 400 years we lived privately within our manuscript, our Alchemical harmonies heard only by the Adepts. Since we appeared in public we’ve so often been ‘just images’ to be used; our music silenced, glorious Golden Gardens and Temples ignored, our truths concealed beneath the weight of fantasy imposed upon us. We bear it, but this is not who we are!

To the opened eye of Visionary imagination, we are windows to wider worlds, doorways onto sacred ground. We distil the Alchemical wisdom of the centuries. Please be among those who see us as the Living Powers we are, and welcome the Mastery we come to teach. Our Gallery visits help inform and tune the all-important ‘clear and kindly eye’ by which you can begin travelling with us on ‘the Way of the imaginal.’

In the Academy my Illuminations are known and revered as our ‘Artisans’. Being wise and understanding teachers, they appear below to introduce themselves. Each presents a slide-show Visit of close-ups, giving insights into their profound Alchemical words and symbols. A slow stroll is advised, with plenty of time to stop and contemplate, for they are of that rich substance, ‘materialised spirit’.
